The lands of Arkidos, wide and vast, have seen nothing but peace for hundreds of years. A union between all creatures had brought prosperity and despite their bloodline the Tiger Clan 'Delina' and Deer Herd 'Nerazi' managed to find peace, they lived in alliance and the Tigers found prey elsewhere, and protected the fragile herd from harm. Likewise the kind and nurturing Deer aided them with their knowledge of plants and alchemy, tending their wounded and healing their sick. It was a hard road, and there were many difficulties on both sides but eventually they achieved a peaceful community. A union that was so powerful nothing could stop them.

It's only in the very recent years that things started to fall apart. An illness took hold, seeping into the Tigers like a thick black sludge, turning them rabid, deforming them, killing them. The deer could find no way to halt it, and everything they tried sped the process. Eventually the tigers were misled to believe that the deer were responsible for the illness.

There was a slaughter, many creatures died. The group divided and followed a singular leader each. A tiger, Jay Vivos Furtim, and a Doe, Vira Shirrak Nerazi. For the next three years both sides have seen nothing but war, a war that is pointless and bears witness to nothing but death. If both sides knew that the cause, the traitors, where the very creatures that once held so much respect, there is no telling how different the war could have been.

Estyre will be recruiting for either side, any character created to join will receive a secret award.

[style=text-align: left; font-size: 10px; font-family: verdana; padding-top: 10px; padding-left: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px;]As the plot unfolds it will be revealed that is was, in fact, the deer who created the illness, but only realize their mistake when it evolves to infect them via the birth of a tiger/dear hybrid. Now all deer knew of the treachery, but in the midst of the war a member from each clan managed to put aside their differences and fall in love, though the plot can have many variations, perhaps the creation of a hybrid was not romantic in the least?

Details are created by the members of the war, it can change, morph, be effected in wonderful or horrible ways, what was done is done, but the future is yours to sculpt.

The peace with the neighboring tigers had been such a blessing to the Nerazi Herd. Food was plentiful, danger was almost nonexistent, and predator and prey lived in peace. Rassla and Jorm, the two leaders of the Nerazi Herd, ruled with peace in their hearts and minds. Vira was their firstborn child, followed shortly by her sister Clarri. The sisters learned how to lead from their honorable parents, and they were beloved amongst the herd.

Many deer of the herd were skilled in alchemy, and Vira chose to learn this trade as well. Medicine could be a useful tool for them, and also for their alliance with the tigers. She became adept and finding and using herbs to create powerful concoctions, and soon it was clear that strength was not her only natural talent. Vira became well known for her new and inventive alchemy recipes, which proved to be useful to the herd’s well-being. However, as she and her sister grew into adulthood, it became clear that Vira was far too unfriendly and anti-social to make a benevolent ruler. Clarri was known for her graciousness and nobility, and it was decided that she would inherit leadership of the herd.

Years passed, and Vira continued her work in alchemy while her sister was groomed for a life of royalty. Tragedy struck the herd when first her father, Jorm, and then her mother, Rassla, fell ill. Vira attended to them, as her skills in alchemy were nearly unmatched, but Rassla and Jorm succumbed to their illness soon after. Distraught, Clarri reluctantly accepted leadership of the herd, and life continued.

Peace would not last long.

Clarri’s death was sudden, and entirely unexpected. She was found in the woods, battered and covered in vicious bite marks. The herd was shocked, and Vira was left to pick up the pieces. It didn’t take long for the herd to come to the conclusion that Clarri had been killed by a tiger. Around the same time, the tigers were outraged by a mysterious disease that was running rampant through their population.

The war began.

No deer (with the exception of Vira herself) is old enough to remember these events, as the oldest deer in the herd have all been killed by tigers in their many battles. The deer today call Vira “Empress” because it is all they have ever known, and the herd is not nearly as docile as it once was. She has created a battle-ready herd, one that will follow her without a second thought, and she intends to win this war at all costs.

The Delina Clan had never agreed such a perfect alliance. The deer herd would provide their sick and wounded with medicine and other health care, and the tigers would repay them by protecting them from other predators and, well, not eating them.

One could only wish it would stay this way.

Aslise was a huntress, where as Runan was a general in His Highness King Rothgar's army. Aslise and Runan fell in love on first sight, and immediately asked the King's permission to be together and have a child. Runan being one of the King's favorite warriors, His Majesty agreed whole-heartedly. Jay was the first-born of Aslise and Runan, and was prophesied to be a spy for the King, what with her ability to become invisible. Jay was the first tiger to be born with this gift in over one hundred years, so the King sought out to get her special training. So, as soon as she was old enough, she received intensive training instead of going through the basic courses like the other cubs. During this time, she was introduced to the deer herd's two leaders, and became friends with their daughter, Vira.

Over the years, she progressed quickly. She learnt to control her power and to expand it so that she could hide her entire being. She was being trained to be and elite spy, and the King was beginning to send her out on small missions. Every couple of weeks, Jay would be allowed to go over to the deer herd and spend time with Vira.

The King's son, Prince Fernir, and Jay began to become closer as time went by. One day, Fernir declared that he loved Jay, and would ask the King's permission to be with her as soon as he came back from a meeting with the deer herd's leader to-be. He left her with promises and visions of their future together.

He never came back.

After a few days, the King sent out a search party. They came back with the Prince, but it was already to late. Fernir had a large cut through the throat, and had been kicked repeatedly in the head by something with hooves. The King, crazed with grief, accused the deer of murder straight away. Who could blame him? His son and only heir was dead. The alliance between the clan and the herd became shaky. After the King's accusation, the tigers of the clan started to become less and less trusting of the deer. Jay felt uneasy about the whole thing. She and Vira had become very good friends, but it was her duty to support the King. One day, however, Jay's father was killed on patrol of the border between the two groups with a few others. The patrol brought Runan back, babbling about how a group of stags came out of nowhere and ambushed them. Jay started to question Vira whenever they would see each other, which was almost never now.

Her loyalties to her friend changed completely when a raid of stag warriors assassinated the king and many more of the clan. Her mother, Aslise, was nursing Jay's baby brother, Scion, at this time. She, along with the cub, was killed, leaving Jay without a family. The young tigress was left with only one feeling towards the deer herd: complete and utter hate. One of the senior officers rose to power for the time being, and an all out war broke out. All adults, including elders, went out to fight. Jay was sent to get information and swipe medicine from the deer. After many months of war, however, not one adult was left. A disease had raged through the surviving grown-ups, wiping them out. Jay was left as the eldest of the clan, and she had no choice but to take over the power.

In her rule, not one cub was left untrained. As soon as they were old enough to run and attack, they attended training sessions with the older tigers. She did not want to be caught by surprise, with not enough warriors to defend her home. She became cold, and non-trusting. And as for Vira? Well, the situation she pictured with them in the same place was one with the doe under her claws.
